this female figure honers women form Oakland's earliest history to women living today. Twenty brass plaques in the sculpture's base  identify these women, including Amy Tan, Ruth Beckford, March Fong Eu, Isadora Duncan, Delilah Beasley and Julia Morgan. Sigamé is composed of 20 individually cast parts.
